Information about our Chapter Scholarships



Each year our Chapter offers scholarships to qualified and deserving students. Each scholarship provides financial assistance to supplement a costly investment in education. Please have the student click the links below and complete the electronic application(s), include all necessary items, and submit the application. The electronic applications will be sent to our Scholarship Committee for review.

NOTE: ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR POTENTIAL AWARD!

The scholarship award is $400.

Incomplete forms will result in not being considered for scholarship award.

A brief snapshot of the scholarship criteria includes:

  1. A student who is a child or grandchild of a current member of the Merced County CWA Chapter (Sponsor information on application is the name of the parent or grandparent. This MUST BE COMPLETED to be considered for scholarship!)
  2. Freshman to Senior enrolling in a CA Community College or 4-Year Accredited College/University or Trade/Vocational School
  3. Any Recognized field of study (major) is acceptable Minimum GPA of 2.5 during previous four semesters
  4. Not a previous Linda Macedo Scholarship winner

Each year, the Merced Chapter of the California Women for Agriculture will offer a scholarship to a qualified student attending an accredited university. Read the scholarship instructions and criteria included in the application carefully.

We ask you to complete the scholarship form completely.

Incomplete forms will result in not being considered for scholarship award. 

The definition of "Farm Employee/Farm Worker” - A person who labors in the fieldwork, production, and/or manufacturing of agricultural products. This definition does not include anyone who is employed as an office worker (clerical, technical, sales), or does not include anyone who is a partner/owner of such an agricultural company or livestock ranch. 

A brief snapshot of the scholarship criteria includes:

  1. This scholarship is available to graduating Merced County high school seniors.
  2. Only the children of farm employees (NOT owner/operators) currently employed in the farm industry are eligible for this scholarship.
  3. Any recognized field of study (major) is acceptable .
  4. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in last five (5) semesters.
